The West Highland Museum is an independent museum situated in Fort William and founded in 1922 by enthusiastic local volunteers. It has operated from Cameron Square in the town centre since 1926 and over the past 100 years has established a world-renowned collection of objects relating to local history. Our collections focus on Highland life, archaeology, military history, and natural history; however, we are best known for its Jacobite Collection.
